Google has come up with an innovation to viewing and composing e-mail messages using motion tracking called G-mail Motion. It gives the user the ability to compose, read and reply to e-mails using only the motions of their body. Simple tasks such as replying, forwarding and sending messages are done with just a few short gestures. If anyone is interested, you can check it out at:
You can learn more about the technology and some of the gestures used in the intro video I have posted above. If you have a webcam at home, I suggest you give this a try and let us know what you think. Do you feel that this type of technology will rid us of our keyboards and mice that we have become so accustomed to? or will this type of technology sink like other projects have done in the past? As for me, I feel that Google is a very innovative company and are always looking towards making the simple things easier to do. I have a feeling this could become big, what do you think?
PS – If you went through the entire process of watching the video and attempting to try G-mail Motion, we’re sorry, but we couldn’t help ourselves Happy April everyone!
